NEW PLASTICS CALL FOR NEW STICKERS! OUR OWN BIKE GRAPHICS USING LOGOS OF COMPANIES WE SUPPORT
We were tired of the commonly used bike graphic sticker kits that promote unhealthy energy drinks and lack color, so we designed our own!
We started out by making a list of all the brands and businesses we love and support. Then, we searched the web for vectors of their respective logos. Brands of the World™ is a good resource for finding high quality logos. For the ones we couldn't find, we used Illustrator to trace and transform them into vectors. The results weren't ideal, but good enough for this project.
We contacted DECALLAB, based in Latvia, to send us the sticker template and instructions We used a blue/orange KTM plastics kit and matched some of the background of the stickers by sliding the CMYK slider to 100% cyan, HEX code #00A5FF. To match the orange plastic we used #FF5B00. It turned out to be almost a perfect match.
After we decorated the template with logos in every nook and cranny, we sent it back to DECALLAB for printing and received the finished product surprisingly quickly. Their sticker quality is superb: Thick, glossy, and very vibrant in color. We are satisfied.
To top off the design we upgraded the seat to a TLD KTM factory issue seat cover in black with a sewn in custom number patch because "details" and it's the little things that matter most :D
